One year ago, on the brink of turning 35, and the launch of Untap Your Sparkle, I made the decision to focus my upcoming year around the sun on the practice of developing, enhancing, and strengthening my intuition. This is what happened.Read More
As we slide into the first week of Mental Health Month, it feels just right to remind ourselves of a simple idea: it is okay to have a rough day.Read More
Every single time I complete a Whole30, my life changes a little bit more for the better, building and strengthening the foundation of sparkle within me. On January 1, 2018 we began Whole30… the same day that our gorgeous moon was last at her fullest.. Not only was the moon cycling alongside all of us on Whole30, but on day 31, the first day following our 30 day reset, the moon is showing off her sparkle in full with some serious LUNAR TIGER BLOOD.Read More
“Wellness” is a word that is thrown around a lot these days… to the point that I have witnessed people roll their eyes at the idea of it. I understand how unrealistic it can feel to focus on ourselves in this way. We are all doing the best we can at creating our lives, being adults, and surviving, so suggesting that we need to add to our to-do list by focusing on our wellness can feel out of touch, for some.Read More
Talking about sparkle feels really natural to me. Sparkle is a very regular part of my vocabulary. But for some, this idea can sound weird or confusing. Sparkle has many definitions. My definition of sparkle doesn’t just include shine, shimmer, twinkle, or glitter. My definition of sparkle includes living life as fully, vibrantly, and playfully as possible.Read More
My human experience historically includes food addiction and disordered eating. In addition, my spiritual practice has always been important to me. When I disconnect from my body, my mind, and my spirit, I disconnect from my intuition, my inner knowing, and my centeredness. When I give in to the vice of numbing my emotions with food, I don’t just dull the negative feelings. When I turn to food to numb, I end up dulling ALL the feelings, including my intuition.Read More
Recently, a friend inquired the ultimate question: Does anyone ever get over food addiction? Even when I'm eating "right" it feels like yet another addiction or obsession, just a healthy one.
This, my dear Sparklers, is no easy question to answer.Read More
Sparklers, the time has arrived. We are stepping into the holiday zone where ~all the treats~ are available and in your face ~all the time~. For me, Halloween is a time of fun, play, and lots of sparkle, but if I am not careful, I easily find myself waking up mid-November in a deliriously bloated state, wondering what the hell happened. And then, upon looking at the calendar, I throw all my healthiest habits to the wind because Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Sound familiar?Read More
Last weekend I volunteered at the Bulletproof Conference in Pasadena, CA. I have been following Dave Asprey and all things Bulletproof for quite awhile now, so when I saw the opportunity to volunteer arise (and in turn, have the chance to attend during non-volunteering hours for free) I jumped. Since I am still quite new to southern California, having an event like this in my backyard felt like a great opportunity to connect with the wellness community and like-minded people.
What a wild weekend! First off, the Bulletproof community is a fantastic blend of health focused and nerdy, which is right up my alley.Read More
I am a digestion enthusiast. Due to a lifetime of digestive distress, my passion for moving bowels runs deep. In my journey to becoming a digestion enthusiast, I have explored it all. While there are many pooping pro-tips out in the world, one secret weapon that is often overlooked (or poo-pooed!) is energy healing.Read More
The brain loves to know information… so much so that when it is trying to put the pieces together of a situation (especially when our all too human ego gets involved) it can start to fill in the blanks. To give it credit where it is due, this is a tool that is used for survival. But what happens when your brain starts filling in the blanks, telling stories, that are not true or helpful?Read More
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of lifestyle is the typical way of life of an individual, group, or culture. You can design your lifestyle in any way you choose. Sure, labels may help define certain aspects of the human experience, but they absolutely do NOT define the actual human. What's included in your sparkle lifestyle?Read More
